Once the weather starts to turn nice, Chad gets anxious to work outside. And this year has been no exception. When we bought the house, the front was pretty plain and unimpressive (here my sister models the house for us). And while we’ve done a ton to the backyard, we haven’t really touched the front until this year (except for the weeping mortar you see below, which Chad struck off the entire house)
With all the rain we’ve had, the grass was healthy and green one day, then the next we literally had a huge mud pit after Chad scraped out all the grass, the walkways, and even our driveway. Luckily, there was a break in the rain after a week or so and we got this beautiful walkway/driveway poured.
Can you see the cool fan-like finish on the driveway–it’s really nice looking. One neighbor said it’s the best looking driveway she’s ever seen…
Anyway, step one of the front yard makeover is complete. Next step is sod. Sprinklers are in, but we need another few days of good weather to get the ground evened out and sod laid down. It’s going to be beautiful!
